Restoring from backup with WinBackup was a breeze. After inserting the CD containing the backup, I browsed the CD for the archive file. WinBackup mounted the file which took a few seconds and then presented me with a directory tree of what was in the archive file.
Upon completion of mounting the archive file, a Restore Settings button became available at the bottom of the window. Selecting that button gave me the option of how to handle files that already exist in the restore path with the same name. The option of restoring files to an alternate location other is actually located on the main restore window above the aforementioned button.
Having chosen an alternate location and the option to restore all the backed up files, I attempted a restore on both systems using the five different successful backups and did not have a problem with any of them. File attributes were correctly preserved as well. All in all, it was painless as can be.
