Like mentioned in the review, we ran into problems with the reservoir leaking and airbubbles forming at the outlet of the pump. The day after this review was published, I got an email from innovatek
with a few comments regarding these problems, so I thought I’d share them with you, just to clear up the situation.
The first problem related to the cap leaking was caused by a bad batch of the yellow caps. There is a minor deformation in the seal area of the cap which causes this problem. It is already solved but they had already shipped out some of the bad caps before they recognized the problem. With the new seal, the reservoir should be completely safe in use, and thus you can use any pump you want.

The other problem is that the tank is too small when using the 1048 because this pump is too strong and will suck in air. But the solution for this is quite simple -- Just put a piece of the blue sponge which is included with the pump in the tank and the sponge will break the flow without reducing it and no air will be sucked in any longer.
I have also been told that they now have a new version of the reservoir made in clear acrylic. It has the same dimensions as the aluminum version, but I think this could really be something for case modders. Innovatek sent me a small picture of it, but I’ll see if I can have them send me a bigger for your viewing pleasure.
